This is because the Christopher family and Wholistic Botanicals, the products' manufacturer, have been working together to reformulate this popular blend! At last, the product is ready to go back on the shelves and assist you in your efforts to promote optimal hormone function and achieve overall health.
What changed and why?
As herbalists and lovers of herbs, the Herb Shop, the manufacturer, and the Christopher family all hold a deep respect for the life-giving plants and ecosystems of our planet Earth. With this in mind came the decision to remove False Unicorn Root from this formula. False Unicorn is considered a sacred fertility herb and has been used medicinally by Native Americans for thousands of years. A modern boost in popularity of this herb resulted in over-harvesting, and as a result, it is on the path to facing threat of extinction.
Though False Unicorn can be cultivated from seeds, the complexity of needing both male and female plants and the long nine-year growth period make this process slow and difficult. Therefore, the best bet for preserving this herb is to remove it from commercial availability. It is our hope that with the help of many decisions like this, False Unicorn can make a full recovery and someday even be found in our own gardens.
The updated Hormonal Changease formula now features Dong Quai Root, also known as "female ginseng" due to its traditional role in supporting female hormone balance. Dong Quai has long been used to help regulate menstrual cycles, balance estrogen levels, and relieve symptoms of menopause. In addition, Dong Quai's ability to regulate cortisol levels and support the endocrine system offers hormonal support for men and women alike.
